How to Use Tampax Compak Regular 22 U

General Instructions

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after insertion.
• Remove tampon applicator from the foil wrapper and check directions on the wrapper and/or the tampon box.
• Remove plastic wrapper from the cardboard applicator.
• Sit or stand in a comfortable position, relax your muscles and push the applicator firmly into the vagina as far as it will go.
• Grasp the end of the applicator and insert the tampon into the vagina. Push it up as far as you can.
• Discard the applicator and wrap in tissue before discarding in a waste bin.
• Use the lowest absorbency tampon you can.
• Change your tampon every 4-8 hours.

Additional Tips

• If the tampon does not slide down easily and comfortably, remove it and try another absorbency until you find the one best for you.
• Once the tampon is inserted into the vagina use your finger to check that the string is not twisted.
• You may need to experiment with a few absorbencies before finding the right one for you.
• When your flow is lighter or heavier, adjust the absorbency of the tampon you are using accordingly.
• Using a tampon for more than 8 hours increases your risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Therefore, you should change your tampon every 4-8 hours.
• Do not flush used tampons down the toilet.
