Step 1: Prepare Your Nails

Before applying nail lacquer, make sure to start with clean nails. Trim and file them to your desired shape.

Step 2: Remove Excess Shine

Most new nails feature a glossy shine which needs to be removed prior to applying nail polish. Buff the nail surface with a nail file or pumice stone to create a matte finish. Also, push back the cuticles and moisturize them with a hydrating cuticle oil.

Step 3: Apply Base Coat
